Vintner's Cellar of Fenton Grand Opening February 8th and 9th
Vintner's Cellar of Fenton custom winery is having it's Grand Opening celebration on Feb. 8 from 4-9 p.m. and Feb. 9 from 10-9 p.m. A ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for Feb. 8 at 3:30 p.m. Vintner’s Cellar of Fenton is a unique, micro winery where you can become the wine maker. The grand opening will feature free wine tastings, entertainment on Sat. from 6-9 p.m., hors d'ouerves, door prizes, and a chance to win a batch of wine. All proceeds from the $1 raffle for the grand prize will be donated to the Fenton Community and Cultural Center.
Vintner’s Cellar of Fenton is located at 1545 N. Leroy St., Suite B (next to the Secretary of State).

Democrat Party Disenfranchises Michigan Voters in Presidential Primary!
The Presidential Primary in Michigan is rapidly approaching. You can cast your votes on January 15, 2008. But quite possibly you are NOT ALLOWED to vote for your favorite candidate!! This is serious, folks.
In an earlier article on FentonSays.com we have available for view the preliminary primary ballots. If you take a look, you'll notice that Senator Barack Obama of Illinois, Senator Joe Biden of Delaware, New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, and former Senator John Edwards of North Carolina are NOT on the Democrat Primary ballot. Not only aren't they on the ballot, but if you decide to try to write them in ... YOUR VOTE WILL BE THROWN OUT.
Read that last sentence again ... if you decide to try to write-in your favorite Democrat candidate for President YOUR VOTE WILL BE THROWN OUT.
"If there's no campaign, the candidate most likely to win Michigan is Hillary Clinton," Bill Schneider said. "Her Democratic rivals don't want a Clinton victory in Michigan to count. They want Iowa and New Hampshire, where they have a better chance of stopping Clinton, to count more."
If you are a Democrat in Michigan, the DNC (Democratic National Committee) has basically made your choice for you ... Hillary Clinton will be your nominee for President (you don't really think the other guys on the ballot stand a chance, do you?). We have a female socialist as Governor of Michigan, and Michigan's "choice" for the Democrat nominee will also be another female socialist. What is going on, people?!?!
WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!!!

Part Eight of "Streets of Fenton" video tour. Head west on Shiawassee Avenue, which turns into Owen Road, up to Silver Lake Parkway in Fenton, MI on January 5, 2008. Snow coats the buildings, trees and ground around Fenton Freedom Park, the Penalty Box, the auto dealerships, fast food alley and the Fenton High School facilities. The Michigan Presidential Primary Election
The Michigan Presidential Primary Election will be held Tuesday January 15, 2008. This is the first of four elections to be held in Fenton Township this year. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. There will be two separate ballots available at this election – one for the Democratic primary and one for the Republican primary. Voters must declare in which primary election they wish to vote before receiving a ballot.This will also be the first election in Fenton Township where voters will be required to show valid photo identification before being allowed to vote. Acceptable forms of photo ID include:
- Michigan driver’s license or Michigan personal identification card
- Driver’s license or personal identification card issued by another state
- Federal or state government-issued photo identification
- U.S. passport
- Current student identification with photo – from a high school or an accredited institution of higher education
- Military identification card with photo
- Tribal identification card with photo
Please be advised that this identification procedure is mandated by Michigan law and all voters throughout the state will be subject to the same requirements. Special procedures have been developed for voters to sign an affidavit if they have forgotten their photo ID, or do not possess a valid photo ID.
Please remember that all voters living in Fenton Township vote at Lake Fenton High School, (4070 Lahring Road). This election will be conducted in the band room, which is located in the south wing of the school.

Virtual Video Tour "The Eats of Fenton" Burger Battle #12 -- TeeBone'Z
This is the twelfth entry into the Burger Battle on FentonSays.com as part of the "Eats of Fenton" video series. TeeBone'z is just over the railroad tracks off of Silver Lake Road in Fenton, Michigan. We've generally not been thrilled with the service here, but on this day the service was perfect. And the burger, well, the burger was absolutely amazing! One half pounder stacked with great toppings, and for a couple of bucks more you can get it with a side of onion rings. In our experience, it is hard to find perfect onion rings. TeeBone'Z had them! Perfect, golden, crispy onion rings where the onion doesn't pull out and slap you on the lip when you bite into them. We featured their half pound burger, but we also have a quick clip of their version of a "slider." It was all good. You'll enjoy this!

Fenton is a Winter Wonderland
Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow! Fenton, Michigan is now covered in a fresh blanket of that white powdery substance called snow. The last couple of days has been the second snow dump session of the season. We're guessing Mt. Holly and Mt. Brighton are loving this.The first big snow of the season was on December 16, 2007. The Fenton area got nearly a foot of snow! Schools were obviously closed.
In this article, FentonSays also presents a video from the Flint Journal, documenting the December snow season and all of the fun us Michiganders are able to enjoy this time of year. Today is a good day to huddle up inside, watch this video presentation and perhaps even dig back through the FentonSays archives (links in the left column) to reminisce a little.
Snow ball fights, building snow forts, skiing, sledding, tobogganing, making snow angels ... whatever your favorite winter activity, be safe out there!!
