The Michigan Presidential Primary Election

The Michigan Presidential Primary Election will be held Tuesday January 15, 2008. This is the first of four elections to be held in Fenton Township this year. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. There will be two separate ballots available at this election – one for the Democratic primary and one for the Republican primary. Voters must declare in which primary election they wish to vote before receiving a ballot.

This will also be the first election in Fenton Township where voters will be required to show valid photo identification before being allowed to vote. Acceptable forms of photo ID include:


Please be advised that this identification procedure is mandated by Michigan law and all voters throughout the state will be subject to the same requirements. Special procedures have been developed for voters to sign an affidavit if they have forgotten their photo ID, or do not possess a valid photo ID.

Please remember that all voters living in Fenton Township vote at Lake Fenton High School, (4070 Lahring Road). This election will be conducted in the band room, which is located in the south wing of the school.
