Summer Taxes ..... Yeaaahhhhhh!
With the Summer 2007 tax season approaching, the Treasurer’s office would like to make the residents of Fenton aware of several items:
• The County Operating millage will now be levied 100% on the Summer 2007 tax bill.
• The Summer 2007 tax bill will be mailed out Monday, July 2, 2007. If you have not received your bill by July 15th, please contact our office. We will gladly mail you a duplicate.
• The Summer 2007 tax bill is due Monday, September 17, 2007, without penalty. After September 17th, any tax payments received will be assessed a penalty of 4%. Summer 2007 taxes can be paid at City Hall until the last day of February 2008. However, please remember that after September 17th, a penalty will be assessed.
• After March 1, 2008, unpaid real property taxes are delinquent and will be forwarded to Genesee County for collection.
• The 2007 Summer tax bill will be mailed to you around July 1, 2007. This bill is due September 17, 2007. If you have not received your tax bill, please contact us at 810/629-2261. We will promptly mail you a copy.
