Fenton Community Center Programs

Below is a list of programs that are currently running at the Fenton Community Center.

Ace Driving School - Offers both Segment 1 and Segment 2 instruction. Please see the school website: www.acedriver.net or call 586.412.0440


AMVETS - Thursdays 9am-3pmVeterans (all branches of service) and their families may meet with AMVET representative with matters relating too: compensation, pension, widow's compensation, education, burial, medical or other VA concerns


Democratic Club - State, local and national issues are discussed on a regular basis. Objective is to promote political issues. Everyone is welcome.Meetings are the first Wednesday of the month from 7:00-9:00p.m.


Fenton Area Singles - A mix and mingle opportunity for area singles. Meets the 2nd Friday, October thru June, from 6pm - 9pm.


Fenton Artist Guild - Established in 1975 to intensify public interest in the visual fine art, and to stimulate creativity and mutual sharing among its members. Open Studio is every Wednesday from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Live model sessions are interchanged with still-life set-ups.Meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month starting at 7:00 p.m.


Jazzercise - Jazzercise combines elements of jazz dance, resistance training, Pilates, yoga, kick-boxing and more to create a fullyeffective program for people of every age and fitness level. Increase your muscle tone, flexibility, balance, strength and endurance using easy-to-follow movements.For more information please call (810)266-5466.


La Leche League - An international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. This local group meets the 2nd Monday of every month from 10am through 11:30am.


Senior Fridays - A day for seniors to come to the Community Center and enjoy a craft or special speaker, and play bingo. Then enjoy a low cost lunch and play cards,Bunco and line dancing. There is something for everyone. Meetings are every Friday of the month. Reservations for craft and lunch are required. All seniors 50 and over may participate.


Every Friday:

9 - 10:30 am Social Time

10:30 am - Noon Bingo

Noon - 12:30 pm Lunch ($3.00)

12:30 - 3:30 pm Bunco/Cards

2 - 3:30 pm Line Dancing

9:45 - 10:15 am Bible Study

SLCAC - South Lakes Community Arts Council. Meets the first Thursday of the month 6:00-7:30.

Toastmasters - This is a group of people helping themselves to learn the art of speaking, listening and thinking skills which are vital to enhance leadership. Meetings are every Friday 7:45-8:45a.m in the Lower Level Recreation Room. Register for this class...

Visions in Motion Dance Classes - This program is offered to several age levels, with Tap and Ballet and Jazz with a final recital at the end of the year. Please call Kim 735-1417 or Wendy 235-4572 for more information or visitwww.visionsinmotiondance.com

Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) - A sub-fund of the Fenton Foundation this group learns about Philanthropy and awards substantial funds to our community to benefit its youth. The group is made up of high school students.
