Jinglefest weekend in Dibbleville

Thanksgiving is behind us and the Christmas Holiday Season is getting into full swing. This weekend in the section of Fenton commonly referred to as Dibbleville will be the annual Jinglefest celebration. There are many activities and wonderful shopping in this part of town. In terms of scheduled events, this is what we have heard:

Friday, December 1st:
5pm-11pm YAC JingleJam for Teens at the Fenton Community Center. $10 admission

Saturday, December 2nd:
All Day - Holiday Shopping
9am-1pm - Cookie Walk at the United Methodist Church - Narthex
10am - Rotary Tree Decorating at Bush Park
10am-4pm - Annual Gift of Art Show in lower level of Community Center
All Day - Cultural Center Brick & Seat Sale
11am-2pm - Toys for Tots collection point at Coldwell Banker Signature
11am-5pm - FREE Trolley Rides, sponsored by Dort Federal Credit Union
11am-5pm - FREE Wagon Rides from Fire Hall, sponsored by Financial Plus Credit Union
11am-7pm - Kiwanis & Community Center Cafe
12pm-3pm - Family Christmas Craft Workshop at the United Methodist
1pm-4pm - Santa Paws pictures for everyone and pets near river at the Fenton Community Center, sponsored by Animal Health Clinic
4pm - JingleJog 5K Run Registration at the Community Center Club Room
5pm-9pm - S'mores Roast-Ignited Missions at the Community Center
6pm - JingleJog 5K Run Start at Leroy Street at River Street
6pm - Candle Sale (candle walk) & Hot Chocolate at City Hall, sponsored by Fenton Beautification Commission
7pm - Run Awards Presentation prior to parade at the Community Center
7pm - Evening Holiday Parade
After the Parade - Mayor Osborn & Santa Lighting of Tree and Gazebo, Caroling to Community Center, Photos with Santa by Judge McCabe and Donuts & Cider provided by the Fenton Beautification Commission, FREE MOVIE at the Fenton United Methodist Church Family Center "The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe," sponsored by the State Bank. Also look for the Harris Financial Corporation Christmas Crossword found in the newspapers distributed by The Flint Journal float in the parade (turn them into Harris Financial and have the opportunity to win a 5 Foot Banana Split donated by Uncle Ray's Dairyland!).

I know that sounds like a LOT of activity, and IT IS! Not only that, but there is a LOT MORE entertainment and activities going on that have not been listed here.
